This area sits between the Joiners and the Engineering shop and contains a welding area, a drop hammer with two forges remaining in a section of the building with an earth floor. The rest of this shop is given over to various electrically powered machines and the power distribution switches. Roof skylights on the north side provided lighting in the days before electric light.
