Brake Van No 3
This is another ex-LMS brake van, No 295622, built at Derby in 1934 ( a later development of our Van No 2). It was acquired from British Steel's Scunthorpe Steel Works where its last use was as a mess van. When it arrived at Bowes Railway in April 1981, the electric cooker was still on board, although the power supply had been cut.
