Santa Specials - Christmas 2006

Once again, Santa visited Bowes Railway. Run over four days in December, the event was a sell out. Families were able to take the 'North Pole Express' from Springwell to Wrekenton and back, via Blackhams Hill.

Locos No22 and 'WST' charge the bank on the steeply graded Pelaw Main curve as a train leaves the Bowes main line and heads onto the former Pelaw Main Railway in the direction of Wrekenton.

On another run, No22 acts as banker
